Nicole Barr is dually licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychotherapist (LMFT.) She has training and clinical experience in Medical Oncology, particularly in Breast Cancer and Lymphoma. She worked for more than a decade, clinically and as a sub-investigator on a number of clinical trials in lymphoma. She subsequently earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and pursued licensure as a Psychotherapist. She helped to develop and now works in the Psychosocial Oncology Program at the Stanford Comprehensive Cancer Center. She teaches and lectures in graduate training programs for both psychotherapists and advanced practice providers as well as speaking and providing educational programs for patients and caregivers. She also maintains a private practice focusing on couples and family counseling.
