A Message from Dale E. Beatty
As we reflect on 2023 - 2024, I am inspired by the exceptional achievements of our nursing and patient care services teams, as highlighted in this annual report. As a team, we have made significant strides in delivering safe, equitable care of the highest quality and an unparalleled experience for our patients. This would not be possible without our highly engaged teams at the bedside and behind the scenes driving improvement in care, access, and financial efficiency.
Our commitment to professional excellence underpins improvements to safety and quality. The Shared Leadership Councils have played a vital role in driving improvements in care delivery, showcasing our dedication to professional advocacy and the advancement of professional roles.
By empowering leaders at all levels of the organization, we have seen improvements in patient outcomes across the care continuum. The successful implementation of various Evidence-Based Practice projects underscores our focus on exemplary professional practice.
We take pride in the exemplary experience we provide to our patients and caregivers. To maintain this standard while growing to keep pace with the access needs of our community, we integrated Watson's Caring Science theory and leverage advances in technology.
Our Advanced Practice Provider (APP) teams are also leading the effort to strategically expand our services. We take pride in our nurses' active involvement in community initiatives, reflecting their commitment to improving health and well-being beyond the confines of our organization.
We have driven engagement by fostering diversity and inclusion in leadership and a culture of continuous learning. Pathways for a diverse staff are introduced from day one as a cornerstone of our training programs.
We have also taken a significant leap forward in our ability to reduce the impact of workplace violence with the support program for victims of assault and our ongoing partnership with our security team. As a result, our nurse and APP turnover rates are well below national averages.
Looking ahead, we will continue to prioritize structural empowerment, ensuring that nurses and interprofessional team members have a voice in decision-making. I am grateful for the skills and talents of our diverse community that are so critical to our mission success.
