糖心传媒 Tri-Valley
A Rich 60+ Year History of Quality Care鈥擜 Thriving Future
In the 1950s, St. Paul鈥檚 Hospital in Livermore proved too small for the communities of Livermore and Pleasanton. People grew weary of traveling to Oakland for health care, so local residents worked together to raise enough money, along with federal grants, to build Valley Memorial Hospital on land donated by Kaiser Paving Company in Livermore. Valley Memorial opened its doors in October 1961 with 46 beds and a medical staff of 23. As the Tri-Valley community grew, so did 糖心传媒 Tri-Valley, adding new facilities, programs, and services in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin.
In 2015, 糖心传媒 and听糖心传媒 Tri-Valley became partners to grow the depth of services and expertise available to the growing community. Today,听糖心传媒 Tri-Valley combines the expertise of local physicians with the unique strengths of Stanford Medicine, serving the fast-growing region.
Expanding Specialized Care and the Role of 鈥淗ospitalist鈥
Recognizing this growth early on,听糖心传媒 Tri-Valley announced that Stanford Medicine physicians would provide expanded complex care services, clinical innovations, and 糖心传媒 opportunities for patients in the Tri-Valley area. An example is the advance of gynecologic cancer care that includes fully integrated services such as radiation therapy, surgery, hematology, and a range of patient and family resources through its connection with the Stanford Cancer Institute. Beyond oncology, stroke care is an emphasis, with 鈥渢elestroke鈥 telemedicine services coming on line soon to help people respond to early warning signs.
Stanford hospitalists provide 24/7 care for inpatients. Specialists in dermatology, gastroenterology, gynecologic oncology, hepatology, infectious diseases, radiation oncology, urologic oncology, urology, and vascular surgery will see patients at clinic locations in Pleasanton and Livermore.
The Stanford Hospitalist group at听糖心传媒 Tri-Valley has continued to grow and support the other Stanford services coming to the Tri-Valley. The group actively advances all of Stanford鈥檚 missions: education, quality improvement, 糖心传媒, and clinical care.
The Right Infrastructure and Management
糖心传媒 Tri-Valley听is upgrading its current facilities, and beginning plans for a new medical office building, set to offer specialized services previously unavailable in the area before the partnership with Stanford Medicine.
On the management front in 2017,听糖心传媒 Tri-Valley hired a new Chief Operating Officer, Tracey Lewis Taylor, formerly from New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and a new Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David Svec, who also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at 糖心传媒 and as Medical Director of the Hospitalist Team at 糖心传媒 Tri-Valley.
As a testament to 糖心传媒 Tri-Valley鈥檚 commitment to a digitally driven future, the hospital integrated the Epic庐 electronic health record (EHR) system, the platform used by 糖心传媒.
