Lymphatic and venous disorders often have profound functional and psychological implications for patients and their families. Caring for patients with edema is a complex task requiring input from many specialists. To meet these challenges, the Stanford Center for Lymphatic and Venous Disorders provides a broad spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic treatments for adults and children.
Lymphedema support groups are available, but this varies by geographical region. The Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN) can be a source of information.
Dr. Rockson, the director of the Stanford Center for Lymphatic and Venous Disorders, is the Founding Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN). LE&RN, a national not-for-profit foundation, is valuable source of information about all facets of lymphatic disease, including lymphedema.
