In addition to the attending cardiac surgeons, the team is composed of fellows in an approved residency program leading to certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, clinical nurse specialists, dedicated cardiac anesthesiologists, and nurses specialized in the care of postsurgical patients.

Repairing the Mitral Valve and Improving Quality of Life: Mia's Journey
Mia underwent surgery for mitral valve repair at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ in 2021. Now, she is leading a healthy life with a strong heart thanks to Stanford Medicine cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Joseph Woo, who repaired her mitral valve.
