Labral Tear
What Is a Labral Tear?
The hip labrum is a fibrous cartilage that is similar to the meniscus in the knee. This cartilage runs on the edge of the bony rim of the acetablum (the hip socket). The labrum deepens the socket and adds stability to the hip joint, and helps in the nutrition of the joint cartilage and to cushion the joint itself.
