The annual听 recognizes institutions that excel in treating patients with the most challenging, highly-complex medical needs.

As in previous years,听U.S. News & World Report听gathered and analyzed data for more than 4,500 medical centers. Stanford Hospital was ranked in 10 medical specialties for 2019-20: cancer; cardiology & heart surgery; ear, nose & throat; geriatrics; gynecology; nephrology; neurology & neurosurgery; orthopedics; pulmonology & lung surgery; and urology.

The听U.S. News听Best Hospitals survey separately ranks America's top children鈥檚 hospitals. Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford achieved rankings in all ten pediatric specialties for 2019-20. For the 15^th听consecutive year, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford has been ranked as a top pediatric hospital in the nation by U.S. News in June.
